Thought for the Day
School's out!
Do you remember how good that felt?
A whole summer
stretching out before you.
Time to ride bikes, to play in the water,
May the children and teens
enjoying these first days of summer,
Feel that same sense of
anticipation,
Of freedom.
Watch over them Lord,
Protect their
physical safety and keep them from other danger as well.
Grant to their
families time to relax and enjoy each other.
May the summer fulfill at
least some of our children's hopes,
May they make and strengthen
friendships that will last for years.
May they feel joy in those
friendships and the freedom of summer,
And may they grow in every aspect
of their selves. Amen
